CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating is a non-flammable, water-based temporary coating that can be easily removed using paint thinners or cleaners. The unique combination of water-based acrylic polymers, Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI ™ s) and a thixotropic thickness provide an excellent protective and anticorrosive barrier to the surface. CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating is a non-flammable, water-based temporary coating that can be easily removed using paint thinners or cleaners. The unique combination of water-based acrylic polymers, Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI ™ s) and a thixotropic thickness provide an excellent protective and anticorrosive barrier to the surface. CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating is ideal for use on metals, painted surfaces, and in areas where surface protection and corrosion prevention is required.

Designed for quick-drying applications, it is a temporary coating for parts and equipment, CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating is resistant to sagging, non-flammable and is environmentally friendly. CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating is a coating that can be tinted in a wide variety of colors.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating is supplied as a milky liquid and can be applied by spray, brush, roller or dip.
Applications include:
  • Automobile body and frame.
  • Steel sheets.
  • Small parts.
  • Transit coatings.
CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating can be used in one or two coats.
To obtain good peelability we recommend that the thickness per coat is not less than 2-mils (50 microns).

LIMITATION

The peelability depends on the application conditions and the type of surface to be protected, it may be necessary to do some testing before using it.

 

  • Apply 2 coats on porous surfaces
  • 2 medium and long-term layers for external protection.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE

CorShield VpCI Strippable Coating is available in 19 liter plastic drums and 208 liter metal drums. Preserve from freezing.
