ElectriCorr®VpCI®-286 forming paint has been designed to ensure the operation of both new and separate electronic assemblies, especially those that can suffer greater corrosion due to the environmental conditions to which they are exposed, such as high temperatures and atmospheric humidity. This non-conductive coating represents a great technological advance in a new generation of printed circuits with shaped paints. This non-conductive layer combines in an exceptional way the prevention of humidity and corrosion, with Cortec’s patented vapor phase corrosion inhibitor technology.
Cortec’s conformal paint protects printed circuit assemblies from contamination, providing a sealed micro-environment around circuits and their components. This is very important when we have a large number of components per unit area and operating requirements are increased.
The VpCI coating forms a barrier against microscopic dendrite growth, termination and surface corrosion, fungi, dust, and other environmental contaminants. ElectriCorr®VpCI®-286 also improves circuit reliability, avoiding hazardous conditions, such as high-impedance exhaust from circuits with high-density components.
ElectriCorr®VpCI®-286 is a single component formulation that is easy to use in two layers, eliminating the need for special measurements and mixing equipment. Also, it contains an optical identifier visible with UV light, thus ensuring the quick and effective visual confirmation of the layers applied on the surfaces.
